Ancient Petra in Jordan

Overview

transfer picks you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh at night and takes you to the city of Taba, where you take a ferry to the Jordanian city of Aqaba. The path

to The ferry takes about one hour

upon arrival you take the bus to travel to the city of Wadi Musa for about 3 hours

Walking distance to the Ancient City of Petra  through the Siq Mountain Canyon Its length is 1 km

it is an ancient city carved into the rocks, located in the southwest of Jordan

on the altitude of more than 900 m above sea level. At sunrise and sunset, the rocks are painted with pink and scarlet shades

Sightseeing of the El Khazneh Palace is one of the main attractions of Petra, the tomb of one of the kings of the Nabataean kingdom. The building is carved in

huge rock, has a pediment with columns of unique beauty

Further on, you can see many buildings carved into the rocks in the first century , houses, staircases, arches and Romanian amphitheater for 4000 spectators

Next, a walk along the Street of Colonnades - the central street of Petra in the Roman period

You will have free time for photos and climbing to the Ad-Deir Monastery, which is accessed by a staircase of 800 steps 

Lunch at the restaurant

In the evening, you return to the port of Aqaba and then take a bus back to Sharm el-Sheikh

Arrival at the hotel at approximately 01:00 the next day
